Drayton Weissenfels Inc.
This platform technology produces ultra-small, water-dispersible nanomaterials that are easily incorporated into existing products and processes. The process is done under simple conditions and results in nanoparticles that are ultra-small (<10 nm), do not agglomerate, and have significant cost advantages. The technology provider can synthesize a wide range of nanoparticles including metals, metal oxides, alloys, doped systems, and more. The patented process is based on the concept of polymer collapse to encapsulate materials.
The technology can be applied in crop protection, water remediation, and supported catalysts. In crop protection, for example, the nanoformulations can improve control of soil mobility, solubility, and release characteristics. Subsequent applications of this technology could include pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, scent/cleaning products, and industrial catalysts.
