RootArray: Microfluidics Device Grows, Treats, and Images Roots

Benfey Lab researchers at Duke University have developed a microfluidics device in which plants can be grown and their roots imaged by confocal microscopy over time and without manual intervention. This device, the RootArray, allows for high-throughput, high-resolution data acquisition - making it an important tool for analyzing dynamic gene expression in a living organ.
