Girl Gets Dolphin Movie-Inspired, 3D-Printed Bionic Arm
Annika Emmert was born with amniotic banding, resulting in a shorter right arm and a hand that did not form properly. When the movie 'Dolphin Tale' came out, Annika felt an immediate connection with Winter, who swims with a prosthetic tail. Shortly after, Annika got the opportunity to meet both Winter and the team from Orlando-based Limbitless to get a 3D-printed bionic arm. Limitless uses Stratasys 3D Printers to produce their customized limbs, taking advantage of the durable 3D printing materials and the ability to produce practically any geometric shape.
