Powerful New 3D Bioprinter Prints Bone with Graphene and Stem Cells

San Francisco, CA-based company Aether introduces their Aether 1 3D Bioprinter prototype unit with this demonstration of a print of two bones connected by a tendon. Aether 1 allows users to print with over ten different materials at a time and mix multiple fabrication methods, all within one print from one simple 3D file. In this demo, an integrated circuit chip is inserted into the larger bone, which is connected to the band of graphene by six printed electroconductive wires. The bones are seeded internally with stem cell type A and the tendon is seeded internally and externally with stem cell type B. Photocrosslinking is performed with a UV LED.
