'Ifbattery' - Instantly Rechargeable Technology for Electric & Hybrid Cars

Purdue University researcher John Cushman has developed an 'instantly rechargeable,' membrane-less flow battery for electric and hybrid vehicles. The innovation could speed up the adoption of these vehicles by eliminating the time needed to stop and re-charge a conventional electric car's battery and dramatically reducing the need for new infrastructure to support re-charging stations. Cushman co-founded Ifbattery LLC to further develop and commercialize the technology, and says 'Ifbattery's components are safe enough to be stored in a family home, are stable enough to meet major production and distribution requirements and are cost effective.
