'Cassie Blue' Robot Walks Through Fire - Future Generations Will Rescue Victims

Developed by Agility Robotics, 'Cassie Blue' arrived at the University of Michigan  in the fall of 2017. Built to handle falls, and with two extra motors in each leg, the robot will help university roboticists improve upon independent robotic walking. The fire shown in this video took place on April 21, 2018 on the University of Michigan campus. These prescribed burns are done to promote the ecology of native species. While Cassie Blue currently has no arms to carry people out of fires, future generations of the robot will be able to assist.
