Humanoid Robot 'HRP-5P' Installs Drywall, Building Aircraft and Ships Could Be Next

Researchers from Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)  are developing a humanoid robot prototype called HRP-5P that could be capable of the same hard construction work as people. By utilizing HRP-5P as a development platform of industry-academia collaboration, the AIST researchers expect to accelerate research and development for the practical use of humanoid robots in building construction sites and assembly of large structures such as aircraft and ships.
