Humanlike E-Glove for Prosthetic Hand Senses Pressure and Temperature

This electronic glove created by Purdue University researchers can be worn over a prosthetic hand to provide more humanlike softness, warmth, and appearance, along with the ability for the user to sense pressure and temperature. The e-glove uses thin electronic sensors and miniaturized silicon-based circuit chips on a commercially-available nitrile glove. The glove is connected to a specially designed wristwatch, enabling real-time display of sensory data. It is available in different skin tone colors and has lifelike fingerprints and artificial fingernails.
