Robot-Assisted Dressing

Robot-assisted dressing can aid those with disabilities or limited mobility, but it must be done safely. Ensuring human safety without unnecessarily impacting task efficiency during human-robot interactive manipulation tasks is a critical challenge. Researchers from MIT  have created a new algorithm that plans efficient motion while ensuring physical safety. The method anticipates an array of human behavior, so the robot's actions are safe no matter what the person is doing.
