- FLIR’s Jerry Beeney discusses how recent developments in high-speed thermal camera technology give engineers and researchers the ability to easily visualize and accurately measure temperatures on fast-moving targets. He reviews how thermal imaging differs from visible light imaging and uses real-world examples from a variety of high-speed thermal applications to address many of the challenges that are often encountered when using high-speed thermal imaging.
- EPFL’s Edoardo Charbon examines the latest in SPAD cameras, including the first megapixel format in this technology. He describes the challenges of building such devices and capturing 3D images at high speed, as well as the applicability of this technology to various automotive and industrial uses. He also offers a perspective on SPAD-based LiDAR for consumer spaces, with a keen interest in speed and data interpretation.
- Specialised Imaging’s Frank Kosel presents an overview of high-speed and ultra-high-speed imaging systems with emphasis on digital ultra-high-speed framing cameras capable of frame rates up to 1 billion fps and mega pixel resolution, ultra-high-speed video cameras with frame rates up to several million fps, analog and digital streak cameras with sample rates of 500 billion lines per second, and image intensifiers to enhance high-speed video cameras to extend spectral sensitivity and allow for short exposures down to nanoseconds.
