With a BEng in electroacoustics and a Ph.D. in statistical energy analysis, Michael Platten has more than 25 years of experience in the measurement and simulation of noise and vibration. The last 16 of those years have been as a transmission and electric powertrain Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) Specialist at Romax Technology (now part of Hexagon), where he has been responsible for delivering many consulting projects, solving NVH problems for customers across the automotive, aerospace, and wind energy industries. His current role is the Product Manager responsible for all simulation products related to rotating machinery NVH with a particular focus on electric vehicles.
