Understanding the complex nature of emissions from today’s high-performance, high-efficiency diesel engines is, well, complex. Oftentimes new technologies promise considerable benefits in one or more areas while bringing about significant challenges in others.

In this 60-minute Technical Webinar from the editors of SAE International, experts will discuss these trade-offs and challenges, in addition to the latest technologies and tools required to solve such complexities and ultimately satisfy stringent fuel-efficiency and criteria-pollutant standards. Topics to be addressed include: high-efficiency SCR, exhaust thermal management strategies, and methods for engine waste heat recovery such as organic Rankine cycle (ORC) and thermoelectric generators (TEG) including synergies with light-hybridization trends in commercial vehicle.
