On-Demand Webinars: Software

Modeling Microfluidic Devices with COMSOL Multiphysics®

Learn how to enhance your modeling and design processes for lab-on-a-chip and organ-on-a-chip devices, or any other microfluidic systems, in this webinar featuring consulting firm Veryst Engineering.

Matthew Hancock of Veryst will share methods for simulating microfluidic devices and systems in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for the purpose of studying and more accurately predicting design performance and behavior. You will also see how he couples multiple physical effects in his COMSOL Multiphysics® models, including fluid flow with chemical transport and fluid-structure interactions. Additionally, you will learn how tools such as scaling arguments and analytic formulas may be used in concert with COMSOL Multiphysics simulations to find key design parameters and obtain a high-level description of system performance and behavior.

A live demonstration will show you how to set up an example model of a micropump with fully coupled fluid-structure interaction.

The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.
