As the need for environmental protection increases, auto manufacturers are forced to develop engines that are more efficient and environmentally friendly. Besides electrification, engine downsizing is a common method used to help achieve this goal, but smaller engines require materials that can withstand higher temperatures.
This 60-minute Webinar examines a new high-temperature-resistant anti-friction coating for metal gaskets, such as exhaust manifold gaskets, that is suitable for coil coating. Motor testing at 600°C revealed that exhaust manifold gaskets coated with the new anti-friction coating offered sufficient sealing and anti-seizing properties to meet current EURO 6 emission specifications requirements.
An audience Q&A follows the technical presentation.
