Effective Power Management: Minimizing Downtime and Maximizing Efficiency

SPONSORED BY:

Comprehensive monitoring of real-time power conditions throughout a facility helps ensure the safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of systems, protecting the assets connected to them. Power management systems prevent disturbances of operations while controlling energy costs and enhancing safety. Choosing a system, however, can be challenging. This 60-minute Webinar from the editors of Tech Briefs highlights how to choose the appropriate power distribution and monitoring equipment, control system, sensors, and data management software.

Topics include:

  • The advantages of 415/240 Vac power distribution to data center racks
  • How taking the “switch” out of a power distribution unit (PDU) allows for selective, on-demand load control and monitoring, even for the retrofit of basic PDUs
  • Energy consumption of rotating equipment
  • The benefits of continuous vibration analysis beyond uptime
  • Preventing power disturbances
  • Status reporting using redundant power

An audience Q&A follows the technical presentation.
