High performance protection for chassis and large components with complex geometries
The chassis of a car has an important role to play: It consists of many components which form a complex system that is responsible for passenger comfort, vehicle dynamics and safety. Technically sophisticated and safety-relevant systems are indispensable for this. One frequently used method of surface protection is KTL – cathodic dip coating (CDC). However, CDC only provides passive corrosion protection, which means that rust and the risk of infiltration arises if the coating is damaged down to the substrate. This problem can be solved by combining a zinc flake basecoat from the Dörken MKS portfolio either with a Dörken MKS topcoat or with a cathodic dip coating.
