Maximizing Reliable Data Rates for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
This white paper discusses the impact of the new architecture approaches used for vehicles with high-level Advanced Driver Assistance Systems on data communication link requirements. It presents TE’s analysis of the trade-off between chip implementation complexity and channel performance limitations and evaluates the maximum reachable data-rates under established automotive conditions. It also describes new connector component design features that are required for this new generation of high-speed, data-dependent safety critical applications.
