FlyingBuddy2: A Brain-Controlled Quadrotor
Researchers from China's Zhejiang University have developed FlyingBuddy2, a quadroter that can be steered with EEG brain signals. FlyingBuddy2 is controlled with a series of specific thoughts; for example, thinking left hard leads to taking off or landing, and thinking left lightly leads to rotating. The system was built with the disabled in mind, to give them another way to interact with the world around them. The technology will be presented at the 14th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing (Ubicomp 2012).
