EV Battery Recycling Made Safer with Automated Disassembly

Oak Ridge National Laboratory engineers are creating the robotic tools and controls that will automate the process of disassembling batteries.

"With our system, when the robot picks up the battery pack and puts it on the production line, it marks the last time a human will touch it until it’s in pieces and parts,” according to an ORNL researcher .
