00:00:01 [Music] thank you [Music] sorry okay so in this demo we're actually showing how your keysight can help test a real world of 5G enabled NTN device so we have a Indian it's connected to this box down here which is a prop Sim Channel emulator so we can

00:00:48 emulate all of the different uh propagation characteristics of different satellite orbits Slow Earth orbits geosynchronous orbits and everything in between in this demo we're doing a Geo I'm sorry we're doing a low earth orbit with an altitude of about 750 kilometers and that then is connected to the base station emulator currently on this screen the top half of the screen is

00:01:15 showing the downlink throughput on the orange on the yellow trace and the Uplink throughput on the green trace the bottom one here is showing the block air rate which is currently zero so even though the satellite is moving very quickly through the atmosphere or through the through space we're getting uh good communication so the system's working uh very well we can illustrate

00:01:42 some of these Concepts through some of the measurements that we can make up here on the screen so to start um we will notice that we're making measurements here of the Uplink signal as viewed right at the base station emulator as I noted before the base station emulator wants to see a signal that does

00:02:07 not have any Doppler shift applied to it even though the satellites moving and has a high Doppler shift the mobile is pre-compensating for that so here we can see the satellite uh or see we can see the uh modulation constellation diagram so we're using qpsk in this example we see the Spectrum down here so it's a five megahertz uh new radio component carrier we have the evm which is around

00:02:32 three percent and we see the frequency error is basically zero so the mobile is in fact doing a great job at compensating for that high Doppler shift if I come over to this window on the left we can see the current satellite position so it started over here on the horizon passed overhead and is now just about to pass through these other Horizon the path delay is about uh four

00:02:59 and a half milliseconds and the Doppler shift is minus 42 kilohertz and has continuing to increase as it goes toward warning everyone this is Lauren Graves with Spectrum control coming to you from IMS 2023 uh Spectrum control is introducing a new Sosa aligned VPX ew transceiver uh this this is a one of our products in a family of products called Sky Blocks Skyblocks is a new kind of

00:03:24 innovative technology used in microwave Plug and Play RF we do everything from RF sticks which you see here which are then populated into a Sosa aligned 3u VPX module you can use a receiver transmitter potentially even microwave a tight transceivers in this device as well and it provides kind of a platform for Sosa uh plug and play and then down below it the RF sticks and the rf6 which

00:03:54 we're developing they're all controlled by something called a digital Gateway it's called our Sky Blocks controller and the sky blocks controller provides command control help even calibration storage for any of your RF modules that's then layered up at a higher level to interface with any of the Sosa standards such as Mora or Victory and we're basically just riding within those

00:04:15 protocols but we're all staying so aligned at the top level and so this is the new product that we're bringing out to address size weight and power for the Department of Defense and the entire military industry and would love everybody to come by the booth and take a look thank you very much I'm Marcia Petrova I'm the CEO of null space null space is a new kind of

00:04:37 simulation company and this is Daniel Faircloth CTO and co-founder of metal space and we're due to IMS this year and we're actually new in general so our technology has spun out a defense contractor called Iris Technologies in Huntsville Alabama it's been their solvers have been developed in the company for over a decade and now we're

00:05:02 standing on a loan software company and we're offering this simulation capability to Aerospace defense communication companies who need to solve electrically large problems where no space really shines is in these electrically large problems that have you know many excitations so phased Rays reflectors Radar Radar cross-section analysis

00:05:29 cosine interference problems and one thing that where we really shine is in the speed and we offer this Speed without sacrificing accuracy so in this example this is a large face array antenna and we did a comparison on identical hardware and null space can complete this analysis with all of the data required to perform any beam steering analysis needed in about 16

00:05:57 hours and uh competing products performs a similar the same problem takes about five days but critically this post-processing it takes two days is only a single beam steering angle so every new angle that you would want to compute is another two days of processing time so if you're doing a design analysis like this you

00:06:20 can imagine that you may run this once and get one angle but you're not going to do you know more sophisticated analysis whereas null space the speed is so much uh so much better than the competition that now you're able to consider things like sophisticated optimizations you're able to perform uncertainty analysis fabrication tolerancing analysis and

00:06:45 this is all again without sacrificing any accuracy so you can do these larger analyzes it's and then proceed confidently to your prototyping and Fabrication stage and have much better confidence much higher likelihood of being able to you know get the right answer yeah yesterday it was what

00:07:09 ABC and back running up a second what we have is a customer enablement solution to help customers get going we've been working with the product lines for all the single chain ahead of the announcements obviously if you get a quad solution how customers can make Apollo and Implement a larger system in this case we have 16 3 and 360 receive the amounts

00:07:32 of capture that's being or phase three applications using the hardened DFT features within Apollo digital download version digital option version [Music] without it without any uh special phase alignment they're just randomly non-unaligned they're using the tuning words available to us we can shift that

00:08:03 and align all those channels which is the beginning phase of the thank you foreign [Music]
