Optimizing Production Processes with the Virtual Twin

SPONSORED BY:

The automotive industry is facing a number of challenges in today's market including the pressure to adopt advanced digital technologies like digital twins, AI, big data, and AR/VR as well as the need for flexible, scalable, and secure systems to enhance performance and quality. Key, too, are issues like the transition to electric vehicles and alternative energy sources and increasing product diversity and personalization. Sustainability also remains a priority, with efforts to reduce environmental footprints, CO2 emissions, and fuel consumption continuing to challenge the industry.

These demands all add complexity to an already complex market, resulting in a constant state of change in manufacturing processes for automotive OEMs and suppliers. This 60-minute webinar will explore how a modern virtual twin experience helps address many of these issues by optimizing production processes virtually before they are implemented on the shop floor. The session will provide real-world examples of how virtual twins help optimize production processes and reduce time to market as well as product changeover time and cost while improving productivity, quality, and other key business measures. An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.

The program will explain:

  • The difference between digital twins and virtual
  • The key capabilities of the virtual twin
  • How those capabilities help address the issues faced by the automotive industry
  • How the virtual and the real worlds connect and work together
  • The real, measurable benefits these technologies provide
