A Lotus-Inspired, Self-Cleaning Bioplastic

Researchers at RMIT University have developed an innovative, self-cleaning bioplastic inspired by the naturally water-repellent lotus leaf.

“We designed this new bioplastic with large-scale fabrication in mind, ensuring it was simple to make and could easily be integrated with industrial manufacturing processes,” said RMIT PhD researcher, Mehran Ghasemlou  .
