AZ Displays, Aliso Viejo, CA, has released the PD057VT1, a 5.7-inch digital active matrix TFT panel display. The PD057VT1 display is compatible with computer screen formats and has full Video Graphics Array/VGA (640 × 480 dot) resolution. The display has a “stripe” pixel configuration, a TTL interface, and 262, 144 colors. The module size is 144.0 × 104.6 × 13.0 mm, with a viewing area of 118.4 × 89.6 mm.

The PD057VT1 display has an operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C, and a built-in T-CON timing chip and white LED backlight. The T-CON timing chip allows a user to display content of a lower resolution on the PD057VT1’s higher native resolution LCD, which minimizes image distortion when scaling from one dot matrix resolution to another.

The display’s high brightness of 500 cd/m2 is generated by a LED backlight comprised of 36 lamps. A special enhanced wide viewing angle film on the surface of the panel supports a viewing cone of 160° in the horizontal direction and 120° in the vertical axis. The PD057VT1 can be used for a variety of medical applications, industrial controls, GPS devices based on single-board computers, and table-top instrumentation.
