Have you entered the sixth annual Create the Future Design Contest? You could win $20,000 and gain worldwide publicity for your idea. Presented by SolidWorks Corp. and NTB, the contest recognizes outstanding innovations in product design. Co-sponsors include COMSOL, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Hewlett- Packard, who is providing HP engineering workstations to the First Prize winners.
For the first time this year, you can elect to post your entry on the contest Web site and view entries from other engineers across six categories: Machinery, Equipment, and Component Technology; Consumer Products; Medical; Safety and Security; Transportation; and Sustainable Technologies. The 10 most-visited entries will be awarded $250. All qualified entrants will get a contest T-shirt.
