Fabric-based computing is the future, according to a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
MIT Professor Yoel Fink and his team have created an acoustic fabric that’s essentially a microphone, converting audible sounds into electrical signals.
“The days of the computer or phone in a glass box in our pocket or pocketbook are numbered,” Prof. Fink told Tech Briefs . “The future of computing is in fabrics.”
