United Electronics Industries (UEI, Canton, MA) has released the DNA-AO-308 series of analog output boards for PowerDNA DAQ Cubes. Each board has eight analog output channels with maximum update rates to 100 kHz per channel (800 kHz per board).

There are four different configurations: the DNA-AO-308 (with an output configuration of ±10 V, ±5 mA); the DNA-AO-308-350 (with an output configuration of ±10 V, ±50 mA); the DNA-AO-308-353 (with an output configuration of ±40 V, ±5 mA); and the DNA-AO- 308-420 (with an output configuration of 4-20 mA). All have 16-bit D/A boards. Other features are 1,500 V of isolation between the cube and the field wiring, one D/A per channel (allows simultaneous D/A updates), double-buffered, low-glitch outputs, and three utility digital I/O channels. The D/A boards allow UEI's PowerDNA cube to move beyond pure DAQ applications; the four different output configurations ensure the cube supplies a simple solution where analog output is required. Applications include stimulus generators in test applications, and control outputs in industrial and process control.
