Microscopy High-Speed Camera

QImaging (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) has announced the release of the Rolera Thunder EMCCD microscopy camera. Designed for quantitative low-light fluorescence microscopy, the Rolera Thunder features a back-illuminated, 16 μm-pixel, 512 × 512 EMCCD sensor for > 90% peak quantum efficiency. The camera also has low read noise (< 1e-), a speed of 385+ fps with binning, linearized EM Gain, and onboard EM calibration technology. A firewire interface provides 16-bit digitization.
