Bishop-Wisecarver Corp. (Pittsburg, CA) has released the SRX-150, an aluminum profile linear actuator in belt- or ball-screw-driven versions. Both versions are available in 400, 600, 1000, 1500, and 1900 mm stroke lengths. The SRX-150 provides to 66kN dynamic load capacity, roll moment capacity to 3,380 Nm, and speeds to 5 m/s. A variety of connecting brackets, line shafts, and couplers simplifies gantry system design. The linear actuator offers zero backlash and long stroke operation. The SRX-150 is equipped with NSK K1 lubrication units for operation. End of travel energy-absorbing bumpers help eliminate damage caused by accidental crashes.
A stainless steel sealing strip protects the linear guides and ball screws from particulate ingress. The belt-driven unit features NSK LW35 Linear Rolling Guides and an AT10 x 50-mm HF belt. Optional Stober® “P” Series-Tigerline ServoFit® Precision Planetary Gearheads in two frame sizes with ratios from 10:1 to 3:1 and less than 3 arcminutes of backlash are available.
