, has introduced the RFC series of non-contact rotary sensors based on magnetic field technology that have no moving or mechanical parts attached to wear or break. A magnetic assembly affixed to the shaft is physically separated from the sensor with an embedded integrated circuit that provides analog output in the calculated angle range of 30 to 360° in 10° steps. The housing is made of a high-grade, temperature-resistant plastic, and elongated slots are used for mounting. The sensor is sealed to Class IP 69, and resists dirt and dampness. Electrical connections are made via a shielded cable with three lead wires; a redundant output is available with six leads. The sensors provide 12-bit resolution, independent linearity to 0.5% of measurement range, and repeatability of <0.03%. It is available with two voltage output options and has an operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
