Piher International Corp. (Mundelein, IL) has released the PST-360 through-hole shaft angle rotary position sensor that combines a through-shaft design with 360° absolute position feedback. In the through-hole design, the sensor fits over existing shaft and bearing assemblies. The sensor incorporates a proprietary ring magnet with a sealed Hall ASIC as the sensor element. The design provides a sensor with only one moving part, along with programmable electronics designed for harsh environments.
