Endicott Research Group (Endicott, NY) released the Smart ForceTM family of LED driver solutions for high-bright LEDs (HBLEDs) used in LCD backlighting applications. Available as a LED driver board or a complete kit including driver board and LED rails, the product has input voltages of 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V (measuring 33 × 60 mm) in single-, dual-, or three-channel versions. Employing a DC-DC boost to provide voltage to a constant current driver and LED rail, the driver boards’ input voltages range from 5 V to 48 V. Standard features include separate enable/disable and PWM dimming controls.
