Semrock (Rochester, NY) offers the ultra-broadband MaxMirror in a 2-in. (50.4 mm) diameter version. According to the manufacturers, the 2-in. mirror is designed for use in imaging systems or for the delivery of large optical beams, and has greater than 99% reflectivity for all wavelengths from 350 nm to 1100 nm, any polarization state, and for all angles of incidence from 0° to 50° simultaneously. The MaxMirror is useful in applications that call for steering a diverse range of wavelengths of arbitrary polarization, including multi-wavelength laser systems such as Nd:YAG lasers operating at 1064 nm, 532 nm, and 355 nm. System examples include Ti:Sapphire-laser-based analytical systems, such as confocal microscopes, that use the excitation of higher harmonics or multiphoton fluorescence in the visible and the near-UV.
