Cognex Corp., Natick, MA, offers new features for the DataManTM 100 image-based ID readers. New lens accessories provide magnification flexibility to optimize reading performance. A high-density lens kit allows flat-panel-display manufacturers and printed circuit board assemblers to read tiny codes with cell sizes as small as 0.5 mm. The new C-mount lens adapter further extends the range of lenses that can be used.
DataMan 100 readers also support an expanded list of 1D and 2D symbologies including PharmaCode, Reduced Space Symbology, Composite Symbology PDF417, MicroPDF, and the most popular postal codes. The readers are therefore suitable for a wide range of automotive, packaging, electronics, pharmaceutical, postal, and document handling applications. DataMan 100 readers feature integrated illumination, beeper, adjustable optics, a built-in aimer, a pushbutton trigger, and a compact design.
