Thunderbolt™ technology cameras from Ximea (Münster, Germany) feature sensors from Sony (IMX174) and CMOSIS (CMV20000). The cameras provide direct access to computer memory at 10 and 20 Gbit/s respectively.

A data and control interface delivers bandwidth without the need of frame grabbers. The data streams directly through the Thunderbolt™ cable, which reaches distances up to 60 meters when the fiber option is used.

The MT200, based on the 20-Mpix CMV20000 sensors from CMOSIS, can be utilized at 30 frames per second in the 12-bit mode. The second model, MT023, is 26 × 26 × 38 mm, and can be bus powered.

Thunderbolt™ cables are equipped with thumbscrews for stable transfer. To provide users the ability to synchronize with external equipment or other cameras, both models include opto-isolated inputs and outputs.
