Roller Cart

Creform Corporation, Greer, SC, has designed a unique cart titled, ACROS®, designed to be used on challenging terrains such as snow, soil, sand, mud, grass, rough concrete, and even steps. Key to its performance is that it uses a roller track system instead of casters. It comes in two sizes, one is a small hand-pushed cart, and the other is for a heavier load.

Linear Actuator

Motorized high-resolution actuators from PI Americas, Auburn, MA, combine precision and force in a compact form factor, with travel ranges from 10 mm to 77 mm and feed forces up to 125 N. Their low backlash and non-rotating, linearly guided tips minimize tilt and eccentricity-caused errors. Available with closed-loop DC servo and stepper motors, they reach speeds up to 30 mm/sec and achieve minimum incremental motion down to 0.05 μm.
