Six-Axis Alignment System

PI (Physik Instrumente), Shrewsbury, MA, announced the launch of its newest 6-axis piezo alignment platform: the P-616.65S Nano-Cube® 6-DOF piezo-flexure nano positioning system. With 500 μm linear travel in X, Y, and Z, a rotational range of 3° in θX, θY, θZ, and true parallel-kinematic 6-DOF motion. A user programmable virtual pivot point (center of rotation) and high-speed alignment routines built directly into the digital controller firmware accelerate setup and throughput.

Miniature Ferrite-Core Chip Inductor

This high-impedance miniaturized ferrite-core wire wound inductor, from Coilcraft, Cary, IL, provides excellent RF isolation in cellular and wireless applications. Its DCR, as low as 0.18 Ohms, makes it ideal for RF choke and filtering applications in devices such as smartphones, IoT modules, and wearables. With dimensions of 0.5 × 0.25 × 0.38 mm, there are seven inductance values up to 120 nH.

Exchangeable Tip Drill

Walter, Greer, SC, has expanded the product range of the Drion·tec® D-Spade D5142 double-sided exchangeable tip drill with the addition of diameters from 26.00 to 31.75 mm (1.02 to 1.25 in.). The diameter range is now from 12 to 31.75 mm (0.47 to 1.25 in). In addition, the tool body can drill holes to a depth of eight times the diameter.

Novotechnik U.S., Southborough, MA, introduces the RMB 3600 Series of non-contact absolute multi-turn angle sensors. They have galvanized steel housings and stainless-steel shafts with up to 100 N working shaft load for the HD version. They are sealed up to IP 69K — depending on version. They are enhanced giant magnetic resistance (EGMR) devices that count turns even when power is removed and retain the turn count and angle information for years without power.

RF Power Sensor

With the new NRP150T thermal power sensor, Rohde & Schwarz, Columbia, MD, expands the frequency range of its NRPxT series to 150 GHz.
