What’s the most exciting part of your work?
The most exciting part of my work is designing innovative device connector solutions. I thrive on solving complex challenges and finding creative ways to meet customer needs quickly. Each day brings something new, making the work both dynamic and engaging. For me, the variety and fast-paced nature of the projects pushes me to continuously grow and adapt, which is both motivating and rewarding.
What is one major challenge you’ve faced in your career and how did you overcome it?
Early in my career, I believed I needed to know everything about engineering, which led to burnout and doubts regarding my path. A mentor helped me to realize that even the most experienced engineers rely on collaboration. I now focus on my strengths and seek guidance in areas where others excel. This mindset has made me a more balanced and effective team member, allowing me to contribute meaningfully while continuing to grow through shared knowledge and teamwork.
What advice do you have for young women engineers aspiring to be leaders?
My best advice to give young women engineers is to recognize that leadership isn’t defined by a title. Some of the most impactful leaders I’ve worked with weren’t in formal management roles. Leadership is about taking initiative, integrity, and mentorship, rather than a title. Leading by example is powerful, trust your voice and values, speak up, and build strong relationships. Embracing your potential early helps you grow in confidence and capability, shaping your career and inspiring others through your actions.
