The Create the Future Design Contest, launched in 2002 by SAE Media Group (publishers of Tech Briefs magazine), recognizes and rewards engineering innovations that benefit humanity, the environment, and the economy. The annual contest draws product designs from engineers, students, and entrepreneurs worldwide. Sponsored by COMSOL, Mouser Electronics, Analog Devices, and Intel, the 2025 contest rewards innovation in seven categories: Aerospace & Defense, Automotive & Transportation, Electronics, Energy, Power & Propulsion, Manufacturing & Materials, Medical, and Robotics & Automation.
