What’s the most exciting part of your work?
The most exciting part of my work is seeing an idea rooted in physics, data, or code become a real product that powers the world. Whether I’m shaping strategy for clean powertrains or designing tools that accelerate innovation, I find meaning in turning ideas into outcomes that matter. I love working at the intersection of innovation and strategy, especially when it transforms how we move, connect, and solve global challenges. It’s fulfilling to know that my work advances both technology and the people behind it.
What is one major challenge you’ve faced in your career and how did you overcome it?
I’ve often encountered unspoken bias, being underestimated before I’ve even started. I’ve learned not to internalize it, but to lead with consistency, technical rigor, and empathy. I seek mentors, stay grounded in my values, and focus on building inclusive systems where diverse voices are heard. Overcoming bias isn’t just about resilience. It’s about creating environments where everyone can lead as their full self. That’s the kind of leadership I strive to model every day.
What advice do you have for young women engineers aspiring to be leaders?
Leadership is a journey. It won’t be a straight line. There will be dips and detours, but if you stay rooted in your values, your impact will grow. Be curious. Listen deeply. Show up for others. Let go of what you can’t control and give yourself permission to lead in your own way. And above all, be audaciously true to yourself. That kind of authenticity is how you rise, and how you help others rise with you.
